It's funny I saw a doc on the box in UK some yes ago, following several male teenagers from UK I think, (who had been previously diagnosed by the state, through schools etc , as part of the gifted talented Asperger's etc top percentile).

As they progressed into their late teens, 1 of them was accepted into Beijing, I think, university, China anyway.

.....He was interviewed on a train with his mandarin speaking Chinese girlfriend. He made the point -that he had always felt like an outsider in UK - so thought he may as well be an outsider anywhere in the world - the gist.

...... He said he felt more relaxed in China, -for the simple reason that he looked different to most students.

So it was like in mathematics where a minus x a minus = a plus. Neg x Neg = Pos
