One chapter ends. Another begins
Something has shifted.
Hi there,
It is now over a year ago that I wrote this piece: Some things are coming to an end. In it I mentioned my intention to move because the area in which I live was becoming intolerable.
It took a while but that time has now come. I am in the process of moving home which really got me thinking about creative seasons.
Bridging the gap was a place for me to share reflections and observations which were more personal than what I share on my YouTube channel and if you’re reading this, it means you were curious enough to join me on that journey. For that, I’m extremely grateful.
But over the past year, something has shifted: What I want to write about, and who I want to write for, has become clearer.
It’s become deeper, more personal, and more urgent. What you may or may not know is that I’ve been building a new home for that work under a different name:
The 2Hour Creator.
It’s a space for people navigating the creative process while living real, grounded lives. I talk a lot about the nature of work, finding fulfilment and creativity vs. productivity.
If you’ve ever struggled with consistency, clarity, creative identity, or just finding the energy to write when no one seems to be watching that’s what we talk about there.
So, as difficult as the decision is I have decided to wind down Bridging the gap and focus my energy exclusively on the 2Hour Creator as well as my YT channel - Brit in Germany . I’ll send one more reminder and after that there won’t be any more communication via this channel.

My favorite is the one wherein you describe the differences between the legal systems, especially the fact that Germany law is fully civil in nature. Why not a different common wealth country? Would you be too limited in your job?
UK will be seeking an IMF loan and is going an authoritarian route at hyper speed.
Please repost the video if you can as to why you might have decided to move. I hope it isn’t due to intolerance. There are, in truth, intolerant people everywhere. I watched each of them at least twice!
